Streamline Taxis of York Driving YDP Forward
STREAMLINE TAXIS of York (Tel:- 01904 656565) have agreed a £1,000 Sponsorship Deal to become Tournament Sponsors of The York Darts Open Championship, the two York Ladies Darts Competitions and The York Open Youth Tournament which are to be held at Huntington WMC in York during the summer. Mark Wilson of Streamline Taxis said, “We have never been involved with an event like this and look forward to our connection with YDP and these tournaments”.
The events organised by the newly formed YORK DARTS PROMOTIONS and promoted in Association with RED DRAGON DARTS and WINMAU DARTBOARDS are for players of all standards regardless of which body they are affiliated to.
The Huntington event, which starts on Saturday 21st May 2011, consists of Eight Qualifying Stages with each stage winner receiving £300. Prize money at each stage will be paid out down to the last eight, all entrants receive Ranking Points. These will accumulate over the eight weeks and the Top 32 Ranked Players will return on Saturday 20th August 2011, where all the finalists will receive further prize money with the overall winner picking up a further £750. You do not have to attend all eight stages although doing this will increase your chances of progressing into the finals.
Peter “One Dart” Manley has been booked to attend the venue at the Grand Finals and will be holding a darts exhibition at the venue on conclusion of the presentation.
Other companies have become involved in sponsorship via board sponsors at each stage. These are Ellis Patents of Rillington, Malton, Mobile Motors of Huntington, Barker Travel (Mini Bus Hire), Don Avenue, Huntington Property Services, Huntington, The Melbourne Pub, Cemetery Road, and The Castle Howard Ox Pub, Townend Street, all York based businesses. We are still looking to add further board sponsors and anyone interested should contact Neil Hart 07921128063 or email email@example.com
