To tell the truth, I was terrified when I found out I would be reviewing a 10g dart, I^m a heavy-handed chap and thought I^d never manage to throw one in the board, let alone in a double or treble, I was prepared to take an ear bashing from my landlord for hundreds of holes in his wall! But as they say, never judge a book by its cover.

My first opinions of the barrels: despite being the shortest I^ve ever held, they were really attractive to look at, I personally believe looks are important when it comes to darts as optimum comfort is a must, they have a tapered nose which I like, the scallop is nicely placed in the middle which my thumb sat in nice and snug, in general they just felt comfortable in hand, my previous doubts may have been wrong, it was time for a throw... My first three darts I scored 85 (this is good for me) and from there nothing followed but pure enjoyment! Apart from the occasional stray I found that the darts fly lovely and I was playing near my best within ten minutes of taking them out of the packaging, I^m a bit disappointed that I never tried a lighter dart before now as I^ve enjoyed playing with these more than I have in a long time.

As usual the accessories were spot on and the barrels themselves were crafted brilliantly, I^m nowhere near being a "good" player but I^ve enjoyed every set of Red Dragon darts I^ve been sent and to me enjoyment is what darts is all about! If, like me you^ve always wanted to try a light dart but perhaps haven^t committed to buying because you^re worried about the weight not suiting you, don^t let it put you off anymore, once you^ve got the hang of how they throw you^ll have so much fun with them and at £12.90 who can argue wit that, outstanding value.
