Reality Darts TV program to change a youngster’s life…

This could completely change the life of a young talented darts player and rocket them into their beloved sport...

Are you (aged 16-21) with a good balance and some darts talent? If so you^d be stupid not to go for this!

All you need to do is make a really short video and tell us a bit about your darts prowess, i.e. how good you are (averages/conquests perhaps) and a bit about yourself... "

Calling Youth Darts Players For a TV Program; A Fantastic Opportunity!

Chris Clegg is looking for darts players to be part of a ^reality^ TV show with a darts twist!

It looks a very interesting project, a chance to get TV exposure (got to help with getting sponsorship!), and also working with PDC legend, Barry Hearn!

"Monkey Kingdom TV (producers of Made in Chelsea, The House of Obsessive Compulsives, Dispatches: NHS Postcode Lottery among many others) and Barry Hearn (PDC Darts, World Snooker, Lleyton Orient FC) are looking to commission a new sports reality/factual show and are looking for characters who are, or could be, at the top of their game, be it at amateur or professional level.

Are you one of the best up and coming darts players in the world today?

Do you have character as well as talent?

Do you have an interesting story to tell? Are you a colorful character? Do you have an interesting background?

Are you a ‘bad’ or a ‘good’ boy/girl?

Do you think you could be part of a new breed of sports professional born out of reality TV? Why should we choose you?

Tell us about yourself – why do you play darts?

What do you want to achieve from the sport?

Also tell us about your personal circumstances – what do you do for a living?

If you feel that you not only have the darts game to succeed AND you are a character both on and off the oche, send a short video telling us why you should be involved to  (or upload to YouTube or similar service and send the URL to view the video in the e-mail).

We want to see the real you, however shocking it may be.

Sport these days is not just about the talent, it is also about the person.

“Forget the player, forget him hitting golf shots and doing all of the fantastic things that he did...we miss him as a person”, Tiger Woods on Seve Ballesteros, Seve: the Legend, BBC 1, Sunday 10th July 2011, 10.25pm

In the video and accompanied summary e-mail tell us what makes you unique – is it your personal circumstances? Have you emerged from a very challenging background, in the face of adversity? What obstacles have you overcome to become the player you are? And perhaps more importantly, why will you become the next big thing in darts? What have you got that others have not?

Please feel free to be creative and perhaps controversial with your videos – you could film on your own or get friends to film you on a night out? We don’t just want to see you playing your sport – the character is as important as the player!

We want to create a new breed of sports could be part of this and be managed by one of the greatest sports managers in the UK: Barry Hearn."
