LUKE HUMPHRIES

Triple Crown winner. Former World No.1. Eight-time PDC Major champion. The Newbury-born dartsman isn't just good — he's rewriting what elite looks like.
Luke's breakthrough 2023 campaign ended in ridiculous style: four of the last five televised Majors in a blistering 49-day run, capped by his maiden PDC World Championship in January 2024, where he defeated a then 16-year-old Luke Littler in the most-watched non-football event in Sky Sports history. From that moment on, Cool Hand was the name on everyone's lips.
And he was only getting warmed up. 2024 brought the iconic Phil Taylor Trophy — an 18-15 thriller over Michael van Gerwen at the Betfred World Matchplay — plus the World Cup of Darts alongside Michael Smith for England. In 2025 he added the World Masters and, finally, the Premier League, toppling Luke Littler 11-8 in the final to become only the fourth player in history — after Phil Taylor, Gary Anderson, and Michael van Gerwen — to complete the PDC Triple Crown.
Twenty-five PDC titles. Eight Majors. Joint-fifth on the all-time list. And still only 31.
"I don't want to say I've completed darts, but everything I've wanted to do, I've done. Now it's about motivating yourself to do more and more. I want to be a double world champion and win loads of majors," Luke said.
A passionate Leeds United fan who threw his first dart at 13, Cool Hand's exuberance, effortless style, and ice-cool finishing have made him one of the sport's biggest stars. He throws the torpedo-styled, mid-balanced signature darts he co-designed with Red Dragon — the product of a game-changing partnership that's only getting stronger.
"I had a really old set of darts for so many years that I knew weren't quite giving me the extra performance I needed. When getting fitted for these new darts I had such a clear picture of the shape and grip that I wanted and these are exactly that. I throw my darts with good acceleration and I like to feel that they are perfectly balanced on my thumb for the right launch, and these darts let me do that."
Currently ranked World No.2 and the man every player in the field wants to beat, Cool Hand is far from finished.
