WINMAU FINNISH OPEN 2010

Paul Knighton & Deta Headman take titles

Paul Knighton won his first Finnish Open title with a convincing 5-2 win over Jonny Nijs from the Netherlands, after he beat off a strong challenge from Lakeside qualifier Scotty Mitchell. Paul said "It’s amazing to win my first Winmau Finnish title, especially as the standard of darts on display was so strong. Hopefully I can kick on from here and keep this form going".

Deta Hedman won her sixth Finnish title with a 4-0 win over Finland^s Tarja Salminen in Helsinki yesterday. Deta has played in nine previous Finnish Open finals, the last time she won was way back in 1996.
