Wes Harms first EVER WDF World Cup 9 Darter - 2015
Wes Harms hit the first ever 9 darter at the WDF World Cup in Turkey, stunning the crowds as he slipped his 9th dart in for a 144 finish.
Wes was playing for the Netherlands against Sweden’s Markus Korhonen, opened up with 177, followed by 180 and closed out with a superb 144.
Speaking after his match Wesley said "I am so happy to have not only hit the first ever 9 dart finish in the World cup, but that I was doing it whilst playing for my country and I will never ever forget this moment”.
The WDF World Cup was won easily by England’s Men on 100 points with Wales in second place on 72 points.
In the ladies Event England also romped home with 188 points, 120 points ahead of Germany ladies on 68 with the Youth event being won by the Netherlands.
Jim Williams of Wales and Lisa Ashton of England won the World Cup Singles Titles form fields of 256 International Players, Jim beat Ross Montgomerie in the final by 7 – 4 and Lisa beat Deta Headman in a thrilling 7- 6 encounter.
