Top Darts Stars to Return to Barnsley After ‘Over The Top’ Success
Some of the biggest stars of professional darts are set to compete at Barnsley Metrodome in 2015, when the hugely successful ‘Over The Top’ event returns for its third staging.
World number One and champion of the World Michael van Gerwen, who won the inaugural tournament back in September 2013, heads a sensational line-up, as the Dutchman returns to try and retain his title on July 3rd 2015.
Out to stop ‘Mighty Mike’ are double World Champion Adrian ‘Jackpot’ Lewis, Premier League stars Peter "One Dart” Manley and Gary "The Flying Scotsman” Anderson as well as ‘Over The Top’ himself, Dean Winstanley.
The fantastic field will be completed by "The Dutch Destroyer” Vincent Van Der Voort, 2014 BDO world champion Stephen "The Bullet” Bunting and "Silverback” Tony O And reigning champion van Gerwen is delighted to be heading to back to Barnsley.
He said: "I enjoyed a brilliant evening last year in front of a full house. The atmosphere was electric and the crowd were great to me.
"I am very happy to be coming back with what might be an even better line-up of top players. It will be tough to win it again but that is what I want to do.
"I’m really looking forward to it and I hope the fans are too.”
