We hit Sheffield this week for the Project Generation Tour for round 6 of the qualifying, for one of four places on the PDC circuit next year with sponsors and Sheffield did not let us down.  Local Players Jordan Payne from Rotherham and Shaun

Croc Greenfield who was at deaths door this time last year and has recovered brilliant and now qualifies for the finals they was joined by 15 year old Lewis Cracknell who travelled up from Essex over 200miles to take his chance and was amazing taking out two PDC challenge tour players with ease.  Kieran Evans from Huddesfield joined them with the last spot after losing his first game never looked back to go through.

The last Cosmo World Series Qualifier took place on Saturday evening With Salfords Callum Loose proving to good for all involved hitting several maximums on his way through to the final against former county player Craig Barrat who is known for his pairs skills more than singles but changed his darts several times before finding a set that he smashed the opposition with.  Callum beat off players from Suffolk, Lincoln,Cardiff and London before beating the Barnsley man in the final.

The Steel City Championship got underway which is for just your local pub players but ironic was the outcombe as it was a former retired county player that took the spoils from Sheffield Russ Simons is a terrific final that included 4x180s.  Steve Marfleet into the semi finals and has only been playing 3 months so will be one to watch as will the other losing semi finalist Paul Buttery who after showing promise as a youngster has started to show hi potential.and a big shout out to 12yo Nathan Hinchcliffe who was masterful all day and produced world class darts but just failed top make the semi finals.
