Red Dragon’s Champion Trio Go Trophy Hunting

Flamboyant Peter “Snakebite” Wright will make his debut walk-on as PDC World Champion tonight at the Ladbrokes Masters in Milton Keynes. Back-to-back Grand Slam champion Gerwyn Price will also take to the stage this weekend, whilst multiple PDC ranking event winner Jonny Clayton makes his second consecutive appearance at the elite tournament. Snakebite’s first match on the PDC stage since his dream World Championship win will be against Joe Cullen on Saturday evening’s session as he looks to add more titles to his trophy cabinet. Grand Slam champ Price’s opening match also comes on Saturday evening as he takes on Simon Whitlock in a repeat of their World Championship last 16 clash. Jonny Clayton faces World no.1 Michael van Gerwen in the third match of the opening session tonight (Fri) in his second appearance at the tournament. The World no.1 is looking for his sixth consecutive Masters title and has yet to taste defeat at the Marshall Arena. Michael Smith takes on Mensur Suljovic, debutant Nathan Aspinall faces veteran James Wade and Rob Cross plays Adrian Lewis to conclude Friday’s matches. On Saturday Daryl Gurney will open the evening with a clash with Dave Chisnall before Gary Anderson faces Ian White. Sunday’s double session will the see the tournament played through to it’s conclusion.
