Practice puts him on target

By 19, Brantford^s Terry Hayhurst had captured 18 gold medals at various Canadian darts championships.

And then he vanished, or so it seemed.

The fact is Hayhurst has busy practising and it appears all his hard work is paying off.

"I play three nights a week when I^m home," said Hayhurst, who has qualified for the 2009 British Darts Organization^s Winmau World Masters Championships, scheduled for Sept. 4-6 in Bridlington, England.

"I play Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, either at the Ex-Imperial Club or the Army Navy and Air Force Club.

"I^m practising every day, probably for five or six hours. It^s like exercise every day to keep your technique."
