Peter “One Dart” Manley Signs with WINMAU

Peter Manley (known as “One Dart” due to his unerring accuracy on the doubles) has signed a 3 year agreement with the world’s leading darts brand, Winmau.

With over 16 major wins worldwide, and countless television appearances, Peter is one of the most recognisable darts players ever to have toed the oche. He fell out of the top 16 for the first time in 10 years in 2009, which was largely a result of his recovery from a heart problem. Peter is now back to full health and he is determined to prove himself once again on the PDC circuit and he is keen to regain his tour card in 2013.

Simon Hall, Head of Marketing for Winmau, said: "Peter has exceptional stature in darts both as a player and as Chairman of the PDPA, where he plays a leading role in player representation and in forging the sports global appeal. Peter’s popularity is demonstrated by his huge fan base and busy exhibition schedule. He has all the qualities required to continue his impressive career on the oche and to claim more major titles in the future."

Hall added that Winmau will shortly be launching a new “One Dart” range, with match weighed replica darts, that will be sold via Winmau’s worldwide distribution channels.

Peter said: "Winmau have shown great faith in me as a player and personality in darts, and I^m really happy to be joining them. Their reputation for product quality goes without saying, and I^m going to relish promoting them as much as I can both on and off the oche".

One thing is for sure – Peter Manley has already made an indelible mark on the sport, and his opponents can be sure that he will be hungry for many future successes!
