LEYLAND HOPING TO HIT THE TARGET WITH DARTS FANS EVERY MONDAY NIGHT
One of the UK’s most colourful paint brands is urging darts fanatics to put their grey matters to the test, courtesy of a new tungsten teasing weekly quiz.
Leyland Paints, official sponsors of PDC stars Simon Whitlock and Mark Webster, is building on its weekly Premier League twitter giveaways with a series of Monday night pub quizzes, all hosted on its Facebook social networking page.
The development is another example of the leading paint manufacturer attempting to give as much back to fans as possible, with scores of tickets, signed pictures and replica darts sets already being won by supporters since the turn of the year.
It arrives after Leyland revelled in its first six months of darts sponsorship, with brand exposure and press coverage increasing significantly since the brand put its name to Simon and Mark before the Players’ Championship in Doncaster.
Leyland Paints’ marketing manager Sharon Hendry said: “We are thrilled with the success of our darts sponsorships to date and have been staggered by the interest we have generated amongst fans and spectators.
“We are always looking to increase awareness and generate more affinity with the brand, and we hope that our new Monday night pub quizzes will hit the target with an even bigger audience.
“Everything we have done in the sport to date has underlined why we were so keen to back Mark and Simon throughout 2012. Aside from football it is the most viewed spectacle on Sky Sports.
“Above all, there is a really close knit community of fans that we want to get involved with even more in the coming weeks and months.”
Leyland’s Monday night quizzes will kick off at 7pm every Monday evening.
