Mark Webster 2008 World Champion aid "I’m so pleased for Jamie and his family in making the Welsh side, I can remember how proud I was to reflect my country and how much it helped me develop as a dart player. Naturally I wish the whole side the very best of luck, especially my ld room mate Martyn who I owe a great deal to for his continued support over the years".

Phillips who will celebrate his 50th birthday on 30th April this year’ made his 100th appearance for his Country in the Celtic Cup last November, and has gone on to collect a total 105 caps to date following the Nations Cup, will have 18 year-old Winmau and World Cup Youth Champion Jamie Lewis as one of the newcomers under his leadership at the East Yorkshire venue.

The Welsh Women’s side to defend the title they won on home soil at Merthyr 12 months ago, has no newcomers to International darts in their line-up, as Glamorgan’s Michelle Webber who was called in as replacement last year’ is included in the seven girls selected this time.
