Did you ever wonder who invented the modern dartboard?
The next time that you step on the Oche for a great night’s darts, those pressure shots, the excitement and the great laugh with or at your mates, say thanks to the Nodor man who invented the modern day bristle dartboard.
The inventors name was Mr. Edward Leggatt and he worked tirelessly with Frank Dabbs to make the first Nodor dartboard using a piece of rope as material.
Needless to say they eventually perfected the dartboard using East African Bristle sisal fibres that the Nodor boys still use to this day.
Edward Leggatt had a manic attention to detail and the British Hallmark of quality that you can still see in our British spec dartboards and we thank him for that.
