Darts: Trio put Pioneers back in the hunt

PETE Boughey, Chris Woolley and John Cooper fired 15-darters to blast champions Pioneers back in to the title race.

 

The Carlsberg League Premier Division title holders beat Aslef 6-2. Boughey also notched a 170 kill and fired a 17-darter, while Woolley conjured a 120 checkout and bagged two 180s.

 

Team-mate John Speed included a 180 in his 19-dart win.

 

Cheshire Cheese still lead the way after their 5-3 win over Rockwood. Steve Hassall (Delamere) included a 180 in his 17-dart leg and 18-darters were hit by Daniel Ayres (LMR B), Rockwood pair Fraser Cooper and Damien Weaver and Golf Club trio Clive Lucking, Chris Townsend and Shaun Done – Lucking also got a brace of 180s and Townsend a 106 finish. Cheese trio Fred Smith, Chris Gibson and Carl Simcox, and Dave Bickerton (LMR B), hit 19-darters.

 

Graham Threadgold (Aslef) and Stewart Bennett (Golf Club) got 180s while Lyndon Cartwright (Delamere) hit a 111 kill.

 

Premier dominoes’ 100%leaders LMR Sports B beat Delamere 5-3.
