Darts: League news Aug 7

All team captains must return their completed player registration sheets on Monday, August 31at the Linden Inn at 8pm when they will be given their fixture list and cup dates for the new season.

CENTRAL DARTS

Lakeside World Championship Central qualifiers (£5 enter on the day) Sunday, August 9 BMSC 12 for 12.30pm start

One Winner goes to ‘Bridlington International play offs’ Thursday, September 3.

CHAMPION^S CUP

The Scottish finals of the Champion^s Cup took place in Pennies Lounge Falkirk on Sunday, August 2.

The Forth and Endrick super league team were representing Central in this nine man team event.

In the quarter finals they defeated Fife by seven sets to two.

In the semi the Ayrshire super league champions were then beaten by five sets to four.

The Central Super League champions then only just failed to qualify for the British finals when they went down six three to the team representing East Stirling.

East Stirling will now travel to Daventry for the British finals on Sunday, August 16.

MONDAY NIGHT OPEN

Another quality night of darts at the Johnstone arms. This week’s winner Colin Mitchell beat Jan Matlewicz in the final 4/1. Beaten semi-finalists were Kenny Kyle and Benny Kennan.
