DARTS: ‘DR. DARTS’ AT THE INSTITUTE OF HISTORCIAL RESEARCH

WINMAU-sponsored Dr. Patrick Chaplin, popularly known as ‘Dr. Darts’, will be presenting an academic paper at a sports history seminar at the prestigious Institute of Historical Research (IHR), Senate House, London on Monday 9th March.

Patrick, whose book on the history of darts will be published by Manchester University Press this coming June will present a paper entitled ‘They are temperamentally unsuited to the game’ – Women and darts in the interwar years. Everyone interested in darts history is invited to attend.

The seminar, which will be held in the Ecclesiastical History Room of the IHR will commence at 5.15. p. m. and last for approximately 1½ hours. There is no charge for admission.
