Belfast Betting Tips for Betway PDC Premier League

Belfast will host this week’s PDC Premier League, where the darting world’s crème de la crème will throw in front of a sold out Irish crowd.

Our man inside compiled some betting tips for what promises to be a thrilling evening this Thursday, this guide is based on opinion only and if you do have a flutter please do so sensibly.

Taylor (4/11) v Wright (9/2)
Despite notching up his first point of this year’s Premier League with a draw against van Barneveld last week, Wright still looks far from his best.  4/11 is actually pretty generous for an on form Phil Taylor, who emerged victorious in the final UK Open qualifier on Sunday.  It’s a generous opening match if you’re putting on an accumulator.  Taylor to win and to throw the most 180’s.

Huybrechts (15/8) v Chisnall (1/1)
Huybrechts might fancy his chances this week, following his 6-6 battle with Adrian Lewis in Liverpool.  The Belgian faces an as yet undefeated Chizzy, who would feel disappointed not to come away with maximum points from this fixture.  At evens, I’m backing Chizzy, but if you like to stick a 5er on a draw, this is probably the strongest candidate of the evening.  Expect lots of 180’s and low checkouts in this one too.

Anderson (4/5) v Wade (11/5)
Aside from his defeat against what seems to be an unstoppable MvG, Anderson’s Premier League has been almost perfect thus far.  Wade, meanwhile, is undefeated, but he is yet to play someone of the World Champion’s calibre.  I think Wade will battle, but at 4/5 the Flying Scotsman is by far the more tempting option.  Back him to throw the most 180’s too.

van Gerwen (8/13) v Lewis (11/4)
The bookies and I love Adrian Lewis.  The Stoke-born star is full of talent, the difficulty is knowing when it will rear its head.  I’ve backed him to do well in this tournament in the past, and I’m still holding out hope that he’ll find the form we know he’s capable of producing.  But he needs to find it soon, and I don’t expect MvG to help him look.  Based on recent form alone, 8/13 is a gift. I think we’ll see a lot of 180’s in this too, the majority of which will come from the Dutch number 1.

Bunting (11/8) v van Barneveld (11/8)
This is certainly the hardest to call, and the bookies seem to agree.  Both men are struggling in the bottom half of the table, but both have huge potential.  Premier League new boy Bunting will be hoping to register his first win, but after a woeful 84 average against Phil Taylor last week, it’s difficult to see that happening.   Barney, meanwhile, hasn’t quite looked his normal self in this tournament so far, but has produced solid, if not point-producing, performances on the whole.  I’d expect the Dutchman’s experience to see him through this one, but if Bunting plays as we know he can, he’ll cruise to his first win.  Expect a high scoring Bunting to hit the most 180s.

A 5 fold accumulator on all of my tips equates to an 18/1 bet.  That’s could be worth a few quid……….
