Alan Towe’s The Line On Darts – Oxfordshire v Derbyshire

As they move into the final third of the season in division one of the BDO Inter County Championships Derbyshire are having what can only be described as a horrible season which with a little more luck on finishing doubles could well have been a completely different story but alas lady luck has not been on their side and so far they have played six and lost all six.

Currently Derbyshire are at the foot of the table and fourteen points from safety, however their remaining three games all come against teams in the bottom half of the table the next one this coming weekend an away game against the team directly above them Oxfordshire who are just seven points ahead of them, a win could easily see them move off the foot of the table and give them the confidence to face up to their final two games, a home tie with County Durham and they bring the curtain down with an away fixture against Surrey.

Selected to play are Men’s ‘A’:- Paul Bettney, Nigel Daniels, Tim Daniels, Gary Fenn, Richard Hanson, Sean Lambert, Andrew McCracken, Paul Mellor, Robert Smith, Steve Soar, Lee Stanley, Alan Statham, Men’s ‘B’:- Dave Allcock, Paul Baker, Loz Barnes, Keith Cooper, Tony Cresswell, Wayne Howe, Scott Parkin, Ian Scobbie, Peter Slater, Ash Spencer, Rob Stansbury, Mark Walker, Reserves:- Ian Allcock, Adrian Asprey, Jim Beardmore, John Clifford, Craig Freeman, Andy Marriott, Richard Palmer, Richard Rawding, Colin Rich, Paul Williams, Women’s ‘A’:- Rachel Bird, Kelly Dean, Jane Densley, Dee Fenn, Jennifer McCormick, Jackie Sweet, Women’s ‘B’:- Rachel Ayres, Sammi Clarke, Sara Harrison, Sara Jukes, Louise Rawson-Lee, Alison Shilton, Reserves:- Dawn Buckley, Kerri Buckley, Nicola Fletcher, Lyn Gilbert, Janice Pearce.
