Alan Towe’s The Line On Darts – Cumbria v West Midlands

West Midlands will play their final away fixture in division two of the BDO Inter County Championships this coming weekend when they travel north to take on Cumbria.
Despite having won six of their seven fixtures so far promotion is still not a certainty as with 160 points they are just four ahead of third placed Berkshire who incidentally are the only team to have beaten West Midlands this season, however West Midlands could go a long way to securing a promotion spot at the weekend as their hosts are currently next to bottom of the table and a big win could even see them return to the top of the table as London, who are just one point to the good on West Midlands lead the table with 161 points and have a home game against middle of the table Worcestershire, they will then wind down their campaign with what could be a title / promotion battle playing away to West Midlands
Selected to play for the West Midlands are Men’s ‘A’:- Keith Allman, Michael Baker, Gavin Baker, Shaun Carroll, Mark Craddock, Matthew Dicken, Nick Fullwell, Sam Guest, Ian Jones, John Morris, Avtar Singh, Lewis Venes, Men’s ‘B’:- Danny Coyle, Ash Kyhatt, John Mycock, Danny Nicholls, Richard Platt, Neil Pointon, Paul Price, Mark Rollinson, Robert Smith, Doug Thompson, Gary Watts, Paul Wells, Women’s ‘A’:- Sophie Singh, Sarah Roberts, Lisa Astbury, Debbie Loon, Kath Jenkins, Gemma Barrett, Women’s ‘B’:- Heather Wright, Shellbie Simmons, Jacqueline Maiden, Samantha Maiden, Claire Hobbs, Kirsty Shaughnessy.
