Clwyd v Shropshire Shropshire kicked off their programme in division four of the BDO Inter County Championships with a commendable 18-18 draw away to Tyne and Wear. Their second fixture was a home tie with West of England where again after all four games were played finished with an 18-18 scoreline, however it turned out that their opponents had played an ineligible player in Sunday’s men’s game and as a result had points deducted and the result amended to a 19-17 in favour of Shropshire Now with confidence high after the opening two games Shropshire will be travelling to Wales this coming weekend where they will take on Clwyd at the Penyffordd Royal British Legion Club Buildings, Chester Road, Penyffordd, Nr. Chester, CH4. 0JZ and will be looking to reverse last season’s result where they lost at home against Clwyd 21-15. Northumberland v Derbyshire Following a promising opening draw in a tough away game against Merseyside Derbyshire then in their second fixture reversed last season’s 20-16 defeat away to Norfolk by beating them at home by the same scoreline. This coming weekend they will travel to the White House Unique Social Club, 2 High Market, Ashington, Northumberland, NE63 8PD where they will take on the local county in what will be yet another testing fixture.
