Alan Towe - BICC Preview 3rd/4th March

Derbyshire v Wiltshire After a somewhat shaky start to the season in division three of the BDO Inter County Championships and a run of eight consecutive defeats Derbyshire now appear to have turned the corner and got back on track as they have won both of their last two fixtures lifting them away from the foot of the table. With wins over Tyne and Wear and Gloucestershire Derbyshire will now be looking this weekend to make it three in a row, something they have not achieved since the 2014 – 2015 season in division two. Last season’s away game against Breconshire resulted in a 20-16 win for the home team, Shropshire will be looking to reverse that result, put a halt to their losing run of seven games and by the end of the season pull out of the bottom two places in the table, at present they are ten points to the good on bottom team Isle of Wight but 23 short of the team just above them Middlesex.
