There is nothing separating the top two teams in division one of the Tamworth Cue Sports League. Both Queens’A’ , who beat Red Lion ’A’ 5-3 and Globe, who defeated Red Lion ’B’ 6-2 are locked together on six points with the same average.
There was a top of the table clash in division two with leaders Three Horse Shoes playing away against their nearest rivals Queens ’B’. The result was a 5-3 win for Queens, but despite losing for the first time this season Horse Shoes still hold on to pole position with Queens now joint second with Royal Oak, who after their 5-3 win over Glascote Club are dead level with Queens.

After the opening three fixtures of the new campaign no fewer than six teams are level on four points at the top of the Small Heath League. However, three of those teams, Bromford Bridge Social Club ’A’, reigning champions Mitre and Custard House have all played just two games.
