Old Oscott Arrows, leaders of division one of the Four Oaks and District League were knocked for six this week when in their away game against Hill Social they found themselves trailing 6-0, with T.Evans scoring a maximum in the match winning fifth game. The final score was 7-2 in favour of Hill Social and as a result Old Oscott Arrows have dropped to third in the table behind Midland Red and Sportsmans Rest. Midland Red had a comfortable 6-3 win at home to Boot Flights, while Sportsmans Rest, who also had a home tie, beat Old Oscott WMC 7-2 in what was described as a brilliant match, but nevertheless left Old Oscott WMC without a win in five games.
Division two also produced a shock result as Boldmere Sports’ undefeated run came to an end, an unbelievable 8-1 away defeat at the hands of their nearest rivals Deer’s Leap. Deer’s Leap and Barn Social, who won 5-4 at the Plough are both just two points adrift of Boldmere Sports with a game in hand.

The George handed out a 9-0 whitewash to their visitors Avenue Social in the Harborne and District Winter League to extend their 100% win record to four games, Smethwick Labour also boast an unbeaten record as they defeated Bartley Green Social Club 7-2 and trail behind the George on average only. League leaders Midland Red beat Stonehouse 6-3, the same margin by which Bartley Green F.C. defeated New Inns despite a 141 finish by I.Tucker of New Inns.
In the other games played Quinton Members Club won 7-2 at home to the Raven, while Quinton Members Club Flights, Thurlestone and Pheasant all won 5-4 against respective opponents Harborne Stores, Quinborne and Cock Inn.

John Jones is staging a Darts Knockout at the Tipton Sports and Social Club, Sedgley Road East, Tipton, West Midlands on Saturday 30th December. There is a guaranteed £500 for the winner with prize money down to the final eight contestants.
Players will be able to enter the knockout up until 12.30pm on the day, but the entry fee will be increased to £7.00 as opposed to £5.00 for entrants before the actual day. All cheques should be made payable to Tipton Sports and Social Club.
