Red Dragons hot betting tips for Exeter Premier League

Exeter^s Westpoint Arena will play host to the fifth night of this year^s PDC Premier League, where 10 of the World^s best players will match up in what promises to be a fantastic evening.

We’ve gone through each match with a fine toothed comb and picked out some betting tips for those who fancy a cheeky tipple.

Raymond van Barneveld (1/1) vs Kim Huybrechts (7/4)
This is a pretty tough one to call, not least because both players have struggled so far in this tournament.  Barney, who, despite a plethora of solid performances, only won his first match last week, will expect to emerge victorious against the debutante Belgian.  With that being said, if Kim can mirror last week^s stunning performance against Chizzy, we could well see him claim his first win of the campaign.  At 1/1, the reigning champion is a tempting offer, but if The Hurricane is on form we think he^ll snatch it.

Our tip:  7/4 on Huybrechts, Barney to hit more 180^s

James Wade (11/4) vs Phil Taylor (8/13)
Again, this isn^t the easiest to call.  The Machine^s position in the table does little to reflect the solidity of his performances, and he could well cause an upset here.  But it takes a brave man to bet against a 16 times World Champion, and an even braver one to recommend it to others.  If Taylor plays as we know he can then he^ll leave the oche with the full 2 points.  His form is somewhat unpredictable these days, though.  At 8/13 we have to back him, but the points could well be shared here.

Our tip:  8/13 on Taylor, Taylor to hit more 180^s.

Adrian Lewis (4/6) vs Stephen Bunting (5/2)
As time ticks on, the chances of a Stephen Bunting resurgence grow slimmer and slimmer.  He shows flashes of brilliance, but his averages and his finishing have been the lowest of the tournament so far. Dare we say, he looks very much like a wild-card entrant at the moment.  Adrian Lewis has had a disappointing tournament so far too, by his (albeit incredibly high) standards.  He is, however, coming into this match off the back of a 6-6 draw with the infallible MvG.  Thursday^s Stoke derby is a chance for both players to prove themselves, but on current form alone, you^d have to back Ady here.  Expect a lot of 180^s.

Our tip: 4/6 on Lewis, Lewis to hit more 180^s.

Peter Wright (5/1) vs Michael van Gerwen (1/3)
It^s rare you see a fixture that yields the same odds for both a win and a draw, but bet365 are offering 5/1 on a draw or a Snakebite win.  It^s easy to see why, given the form MvG^s been in, but this is darts.  Anything is possible.  One has to wonder what the odds were for this fixture last year, but as it stands, it^s difficult to see the world number 1 dropping points here.  Still, we do like a good surprise.

Our tip:  1/3 on van Gerwen, van Gerwen to hit more 180^s.

Dave Chisnall (9/4) vs Gary Anderson (8/11)
This is probably the most exciting fixture of the evening, given the form both players have exhibited in the tournament so far.  After throwing a 107 average last week, Chisnall might well fancy his chances here.  But he^s facing a rejuvenated Anderson, whose only defeat so far was at the hands of Mighty Mike.  It^s hard to imagine either losing at the moment.  Both fluctuate between the mediocre and the sublime, but we reckon at 9/4 Chisnall is more worth the investment.

Our tip: 9/4 on Chisnall, more then 7.5 180^s

A 5-fold on the players we^ve backed yields odds of 31/1, which has got to be worth a 5er, right?  Let us know if you^re backing anyone different so we can send our commiserations on Friday morning.
