World Champion Peter Wright Says Thank Massive You

World Champion Peter “Snakebite” Wright made a beeline to the Red Dragon Darts Head Offices following his 7-5 Premier League win in Cardiff on Thursday. Thankfully not for new darts but to say a heartfelt thank you to all the staff that have helped make it possible for him to achieve his dream of winning the PDC World Championship 2020, after a 30 year journey. Peter joined Red Dragon over 10 years ago, following a glittering recommendation from his close friend Mervyn King who stated “Peter could easily win the World Championships, if he settled to one set of darts!”. It was this glowing recommendation that helped Peter begin a new journey to the upper echelons of the game backed by Red Dragon’s steadfast belief in Peters outrageous ability and potential to win Major Titles at the highest. Red Dragon’s support for Peter has seen the modern, forward-thinking darts Brand make over 500 different prototype darts for Peter until he was perfectly happy with that one special set that he finally accomplished his life long ambition – defeating World no.1 Michael van Gerwen in the biggest final of his and any players entire life to lift the Sid Waddell trophy at Alexandra Palace on January the 2nd 2020. It was the dedication of Red Dragon's staff that Peter came to say thank you for - making, designing, packing and distributing thousands upon thousands sets of darts to enthusiasts, fans and players of all levels across the World so they can show off their inner Snakebite belief and spirit. Peter said “It’s amazing to meet all of the people that carry out the massive amount of jobs behind delivering just one set of darts from design, delivery, manufacturing, packaging, quality control, ordering and payment.” “The whole organisation is so deep and passionate about darts, it’s great to come and meet everyone who has helped me become successful.” Simon Hall Head of Marketing said “Having Peter come in to meet everyone was one of the most special days we’ve ever had in our 40-year history and simply seeing the smiles on everyone’s face was enough to know how much he’s loved, unless it was the champagne!” Peter’s next Televised appearance is the Premier League in Dublin tomorrow where he takes on fellow Red Dragon sponsored player "The Iceman" Gezzy Price.
