Hull^s Jake Patchett, twice came from behind before putting together a three leg winning streak to become the Streamline Taxis York Open Darts Championship, Ranking Stage 6 Winner. The event sponsored by Red Dragon Darts saw Lincoln^s Scott Bennett, total match average 81.21, twice hit 17 dart legs to go in front only to see Patchett hit back with 16 and 13. This followed by legs of 17-17 and 21 gave Patchett a 5-2 victory with an average of 85.71.
In the semi-finals Patchett (17) defeated Malton^s Paul Bulmer whilst PDC^s Mark Lawrence (14) lost out 4-2 to Bennett.
All four 1/4 Finals ended 3-0 with Bennett defeating Wayne Woodhouse, Lawrence beating Tim Grice, Bulmer (15-16) winning Dean Conley and Richie Corner going down to Patchett.
The last 16 results were as follows: John Holden 0 Bennett (16-18-13) 3, Alan Dawson 0 Woodhouse 3, Trevor Day 0 Lawrence (15-16) 3, Grice (17) 3 Andy Walshaw 2, Steve Kemp (Snr) 0 Bulmer (16-17-20) 3, Russ King 0 Conley (19) 3, Corner (18-17-13) 3 John Quantock (21-14) 2 and Patchett (16-12) 3 Chris Gill 2.
Other legs of note from the earlier rounds came from Bennett 13-18-17-19, Woodhouse 17-21-18, Lawrence 18-12-19, Dave Lord 16, Grice 16-18, Chris Mathews 16, James Weldon 19-20, Andy Walshaw 2 x 20-15, Kemp 18-17, Bulmer 17-19-14-15-15, King 2 x 19-21, Conley 2 x 19-14, Rich Webster 19, Corner 18-19-15-16, Quantock 13-18-20-15-16, Patchett 16-13-14-20-16, Reece Robinson 18 and Gill 16.
There was a total of 15 x 180^s recorded with Lawrence 3 leading the way. Bulmer, Conley and Corner added two each whilst others came from Alan Dawson, Mark Herron, Ken Norton, Andy Walshaw, Ian Watson and Gill.
Alan Dawson led the way on the checkout stakes with a 141 being the highest also adding a 114. Patchett finished on 140 with Lawrence 130 close behind. Other ton plus finishes came from Shaun Day 118, James Weldon 112 and Corner 108.
Stage 7 takes place on Saturday 3rd May 2014 at Huntington WMC.

The Blue Bell Hotel Darts Championship Grand Finals featuring 16 qualifiers and four Professionals Scotty Waites, James Wilson, Martin Atkins and Darryl Fitton taking place at the Burton Agnes venue on Saturday 19th April. Spectator tickets are just £3.50 each which covers the afternoon starting at 1.30pm and night session scheduled for a 7.30pm start.
Friday 25th April the M & M Darts Show takes place featuring Wayne Mardle and Peter Manley taking on 18 local players before going head to head at the Crescent WMC in York starting at 7.30pm Tickets are just £7.50 each or buy 6 for the price of 5 (£37.50).
