A night of quality, pressure moments and decisive finishing. Luke Littler returned to winning ways on the BetMGM Premier League stage with an impressive Night Five triumph in Cardiff.
Arriving in the Welsh capital in seventh place after a slow start to the campaign, the world number one needed a response. Victories over Josh Rock, Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton in front of a sell-out Utilita Arena delivered exactly that, reigniting his season and securing the £10,000 nightly bonus.
The evening began with a high-quality quarter-final against Rock.
The Northern Irishman averaged 103.72 in a strong performance, but Littler held firm in the key moments to claim a 6–4 victory and progress to the semi-finals.
The World Champion then produced one of the standout displays of the night against Price.
Facing the Welsh star on home soil, Littler averaged north of 111 and sealed a commanding 6–3 win with a superb 170 checkout, the first of two “big fish” finishes he would land on the night.
By the time the final arrived, confidence was clearly building.
Luke Humphries 6–1 Michael van Gerwen
Jonny Clayton 6–4 Gian van Veen
Gerwyn Price 6–5 Stephen Bunting
Luke Littler 6–4 Josh Rock
Humphries opened the night with a commanding performance, reeling off five consecutive legs to defeat seven-time Premier League champion Van Gerwen 6–1.
Clayton followed with a controlled 6–4 win over Van Veen, while Price edged past Night Four winner Bunting in a deciding-leg thriller, surviving a match dart to book his place in the semi-finals.

Luke Littler 6–3 Gerwyn Price
Clayton’s route to the final continued his strong run of form.
The Welshman edged past Van Veen 6–4 in the quarter-finals before repeating the scoreline against Humphries in the semi-finals. Clinical finishing at key moments allowed the league leader to punish missed opportunities and reach his second nightly final in three weeks.
Littler, meanwhile, delivered one of the performances of the night against Price. Heavy scoring and clinical finishing allowed him to control the match, with the stunning 170 checkout sealing a 6–3 win.

Luke Littler 6–4 Jonny Clayton
The final produced a tightly contested encounter between the league leader and the reigning World Champion.
Early exchanges saw the pair trade breaks of throw before Clayton struck with a clinical 86 checkout, leaving 46 after nine darts in leg four to threaten a 3–1 advantage.
Littler responded in spectacular fashion.
A magnificent 170 checkout restored parity, and the standard remained high throughout. In leg seven, Littler came agonisingly close to a nine-darter, wiring double 15 for perfection before Clayton punished with an excellent 11-dart hold to edge ahead at 4–3.
The momentum soon shifted again.
Littler produced a composed 13-dart hold before landing a clutch 80 checkout to regain the lead. From there he held his nerve, pinning tops to complete a 6–4 victory and collect five valuable league points.

Clayton’s run to the final extends his lead at the top of the table to five points after five nights of action.
Behind him, the chasing group continues to tighten. Price, Littler and Van Veen are locked together on nine points, while Van Gerwen sits just one point behind in fifth.
