Darts News – A West Midlands Round Up By Alan Towe

With only one scheduled week of fixtures remaining in the Sheldon and District Summer League not one of the four divisions has yet been decided. In division one a 5-3 win at The Pirates keeps Mackadown Social in pole position with 13 points from nine games, however they are closely followed by The Harvester whose convincing 7-1 win away to George ‘V’ gives them 12 points, just one short of Mackadown. Third in the division Iron Horse Flights were held to a 4-4 draw at home by Sheldon Marlborough Arrows but are still in with an outside chance of snatching the title as they are just two points off the top. A similar situation exists in division two where a 5-3 win against Maggies sees Willclare Sports and Social top the table with 13 points and with Highwood KB’s beating Crown Arrows 6-2 they are just two points short of Willclare. Ridgemere Social Flights 7-1 win at Inn on the Green has seen them take over the number one spot from Yardley Ex Colts who went down 6-2 away to third in the table Shirley RBL Misfits and now trail Ridgemere by two points as do the Misfits, but Misfits have a game in hand on the two teams above them. Fox and Goose had their lead at the top of division four reduced to just one point as they were held to a 4-4 draw at Greville Arms who are placed third in the table. Second placed Highwood Exiles were 5-3 winners against Ridgemere Social Ladies to leave the title all dependant on the results from the final games of the season.
