The Harborne and District League have completed their domestic fixtures and taking the league title with a superb twenty-eight wins in twenty-eight games is Northfield Conservative Club, their fifty-six points six more than runners-up Copper Fox ‘M’ who rounded off their season with a 6-3 win at Northfield Darts Club who finished fourth with forty-six points. Copper Fox ‘R’ had an 8-1 win over fifth placed Smethwick Cricket Club but lost out on the number two spot as they went down 6-3 at Weoley Castle in a rearranged fixture to finish two points behind their local rivals Copper Fox ‘M’. Windsor Complex took the Wooden Spoon with one win in their twenty-eight games.
There were three maximums in the closing fixtures and they came from A.Harvey (Copper Fox ‘M’), M.Bolton (Weoley Castle WMC) and A.Busby (Northfield Darts Club). R.Needham (Northfield Darts Club) had a 160 break.

The Shirley and District Monday Night League are up to week thirteen of their season and leading the way in division one is the Bears whose latest fixture against Tippetts Bar was postponed, nevertheless the Bears eighteen points is enough for them to hold on to pole position with second placed Langley ‘A’ reducing the arrears to just two points with their 8-1 win over local rivals Langley ‘B’. Third placed Tippetts Bar are on the same sixteen points as Langley ‘A’ and have a game in hand on both of the two teams above them. Royals Alex Lloyd scored a maximum in his team’s 5-4 home win over bottom of the division HSCC.
Banbury kept their title hopes on course in division two, handing out a 9-0 whitewash to their hosts, bottom team Saracens ‘A’. Banbury have a six points advantage plus a game in hand on second in the division Wharf who lost ground in the title race as they went down 5-4 away to fifth in the division Saracens Slingers. Third placed Shirley Misfits are on the same sixteen points, and are just one leg of average short of Wharf, they also lost, finishing on the wrong side of the 6-3 result away to fourth placed Nomads, Neil Comerford notching a maximum for the Misfits.

The Sheldon and District Summer League comleted their season with a couple of rearranged fixtures in group one, champions Langley Arrows beating bottom of the table Brian’s Flights 5-3 and runners-up in
the same group Raven Arrows losing by the same 5-3 margin at home to next to bottom of the group Mackadown Sports and Social Club, NeiParsonage hitting a maximum for Raven.

Although all of the results have been wrapped up in division one of the South West Birmingham Clubs League, there are still games being played in division two and the latest results have seen leaders Longbridge United confirm themselves as champions with a 5-2 home win over West heath CEM. Longbridge still have two games to play and have a two points and large average lead on second placed West Heath CEM who are on fourteen points and they too have two games remaining.

Matthew Cain has taken his points tally at the top of the Heartlands Sugardarts M&E Co Double Top League to ninety-five from thirty-eight games after adding his latest 3-0 wins over Matt Richmond and John Burdett. Cain has a three points lead on his nearest rival Martin Cooper who after winning 3-0 against L.J.Austin beat Hayden Valovec 2-1. John Frost had 2-1 wins over Tony Pedley and fifth placed John Burdett to put him third in the league with eighty-five points but he has played forty games, two more than the two players above him and he is ten points behind leader Cain.

The Netherton Thursday Night 501 League had cup finals on their agenda and in the Andy Bastable Trophy final, league champions Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ were unable to make it a double as league runners-up Old Liberal Club beat them 5-4 with a 180 for the Ex Serviceman’s Club from H.Williams.
In the final of the Andy Bastable Shadow Cup, British Oak ran out the 6-3 winners against Plough and Harrow with R.Lowe hitting a maximum for the winners.

The Stourbridge and District Monday Night League played off the finals of their singles knockout and in the semi-finals A.Marson (Gornal British Legion) got the better of C.Pickett (Old Liberal Club) with a straight 3-0 result. The second of the last four games went the full five legs distance with S.Gough (Five Ways) just getting the 3-2 edge on C.Moreton (Old Liberal Club). The final saw Marson run out the 3-1 winner with Gough finishing as runner-up.

A 5-0 defeat for Allen’s Bar ‘C’ has seen them lose pole position in the Black Country Ladies Team Super League, they drop to third place on seventeen points and their victors take over at the top of the table with twenty-four points. Despite suffering a 4-1 defeat to Allen’s Bar ‘D’, Allen’s Bar ‘B’ hold on to second place with eighteen points.

For only the third time in eighteen games, leaders Allen’s Bar ‘A’ lost in the Black Country Men’s Super League. Playing away against second placed Quarry Bank Liberal Club, they returned on the wrong side of the 3-2 result to leave them on sixty-eight points, their victors, with sixty-three, reducing the gap to five points. Third in the league Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club won 4-1 at home against Townsend ‘A’ to put them on fifty-five points and although thirteen behind the leaders and eight short of second placed Quarry Bank Liberal Club, they do have two games in hand on both teams.

Jacqueline Maiden consolidated her number one spot in the West Midlands Ladies Super League when in week six she made it seven consecutive wins when she beat Shellbie Guest 3-0 and Jackie Trott 3-2 to give her a total of twenty-eight points and a lead of seven over second place Jade Wellings who had a 3-2 win over Kath Jenkins. Reigning champion Evonne Taylor is third with twenty points from five undefeated games, she played just the one fixture which she won 3-0 against Lauren Herrington.

With only four more fixtures to play in the Hilltop Friendly Tuesday Night League the title is being fought out between the league’s top two teams Allen’s Bar and Vine ‘A’. A 5-2 win at Sandwell keeps Allen’s Bar top of the table with forty-eight points, however they only have a two legs of average lead on second placed Vine ‘A’ after they added a 6-1 win at Horsley Tavern ‘B’ to their account. Third and fourth placed Cottage Spring and Wonder ‘B’ are both on forty-two points, six short of the top two teams.

The Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club staged a knockout which attracted a total of thirty-six players and working his way through the field and going on to win the title, plus the £130 top prize, was Arron Colley who defeated Michael Powell in the final, Powell collecting £80. Losing semi-finalists who received £30 each, were Lee Craig and Connor Allen.

There was a mixed bag of results for Jason Lowe, leader of the Amblecote RBL Premier League, as he began the night with a 4-3 defeat by Dave Simpson but then recovered to beat Tom Hanson 7-0 to put him on 387 points from 58 games. Second placed Nick Fullwell managed to reduce the arrears to thirty points with a 5-2 win over Jake Robinson, followed by a 4-3 success against Steve Gillam and a 7-0 win over Joe Poole, but he has now played one game more than Lowe.

Although Scott Baker didn’t play this week in division one of the Gilbert’s Bar Monday Night Singles League, he still holds on to a thirty points lead at the top of the table over second placed Simon Mountford, plus he has three games in hand.
In division two Michael Smith beat Kevin Bate 8-0 to take his points at the top of the division to 231 with a lead of fifty-five over his nearest rival Andy Mullinder who had a 5-3 win against Richard Brown. Mullinder has six games in hand on Smith and five in hand on third placed Richard Brown who is just one point behind him.
Division three leader Olly Garratt didn’t play this week, his 200 points are 46 more than second placed Troy Simmonds who had a 7-1 win over Liam Davis, leaving him with a game in hand on Garratt.

A 7-0 win over Wheatsheaf sees Junction ‘B’ top of the singles league in the Wolverhampton and District Tuesday Night League with twenty-two points. Second placed Dog and Partridge ‘B’ lost 5-2 at New Gate Inn, this their first defeat in eleven games leaves them two points behind the leaders and only two ahead of third placed Ashmore, who were 7-0 winners at Red Lion.
A 2-1 win at home over Junction ‘C’ puts Gilbert’s Bar ‘A’ top of the doubles league with twenty points, two more than second and third placed Junction ‘B’ and New Gate Inn who in turn won 3-0 against Wheatsheaf and lost 2-1 at home to Dog and Partridge ‘B’.
