Red Dragon Darts have confirmed all 256 venues have been allocated for qualifying, and the list is closed for venue registrations.
Simon Hall Head of Marketing said, “The response we’ve had for venues to host Champions qualification has been nothing short of breath-taking, regretfully we have had to turn down hundreds of venues from our reserve list. We will be working closely with all venues to make sure we maximise qualification and entries to the event making sure we consider all venues again for next year.”
Stuart Mills, Managing Director of Useyourlocal.com commented, “We’ve seen a terrific engagement with all of the Champion of Champions 2017 information on our website. It’s great to see that darts is clearly alive and well in UK pubs & bars.”
Martin Anderson Area Coors Director said “We are overwhelmed by how swiftly this event has grown nationally and we cannot thank all our partners enough for making this work in the darts channel. Whilst we would love to allocate a venue for every application, we are massively grateful for all those pubs that applied, and we will look to see how we approach this next year.”
The Champion of Champions qualifying dates for venues are all live on Red Dragon Darts.com where all players need to register before being able to play in unlimited events.
The Champion of Champions captures the spirit of the News of the World where local dart players compete for over £20,000.
