Bedfordshire v Shropshire Shropshire’s middle of the season fixture in division four of the BDO Inter County Championships this coming weekend is an away game against fourth in the division Bedfordshire at Arlesey Town Football Club, Armadillo Stadium, Hitchin Road, Arlesey, Bedfordshire, SG15 6RS. Shropshire are currently two places below their hosts and have eighteen fewer points. With one win and a draw in their opening four games Shropshire have already surpassed last season’s achievements as in the 2017 – 2018 season they won one and lost eight of their fixtures, a win this weekend would get the New Year off to a fine start and help consolidate their mid table position. Selected to play for Shropshire are Men’s ‘A’:- Keith Allman, Dan Astbury, Jamie Barrowman, Steve Blewitt, Reece Cook-Lucas, Derek Coulson, Justin Evans, Sam Hamilton, Rob Henderson, Andy Jervis, Clive Lucking, Martin Price, Men’s ‘B’:- Andi Chatter, Pete Eley, Chris Fox, Andy Gilbert, Mike Hampson, Chris Hill, Lee Hodgkiss, James Mansell, Richard Parker, Neville Quinton, John Stanley, Chris Williams, Reserves:- Martin East, Luke Griffiths, Colin Hill, Darren Lane, Simon Pritchard, Rob Trumper, Women’s ‘A’:- Stephanie Clarke, Allison Gallagher, Julie Griffiths, Sue Lane, Michele Pritchard, Marie Riggs, Women’s ‘B’:- Trish Ball, Debbie Davies, Cally Jones, Rachael Mooney, Cheryl Owen, Caroline Powell, Reserves:- Jenna Ball, Suzie Barnham, Cloey Davies, Sophie Fawcett, Kirsty Jenks, Deana Sheldon.
Somerset v Derbyshire This coming weekend Derbyshire County Darts Organisation will be making the long trek to the south west to the Coleford RBL Club, Memorial Hall, Anchor Road, Coleford, Somerset, BA3 5PB where they will be taking on the local Somerset County in this their fifth of a scheduled nine fixtures in division three of the BDO Inter County Championships. With three wins and a draw from their opening four games Derbyshire are enjoying a fantastic start to the season and riding high in the promotion table in a lofty third place just one point behind the two teams above them Cleveland and Somerset. However the tie is going to be a tough one as both teams have an eye on promotion and the outcome of this fixture could well have a bearing on who will play in division two next season. So Derbyshire’s second placed hosts are obviously a team to beat as a win would see them replace their opponents in the number two spot as they move up into a promotion position. Lining up for Derbyshire will be Men’s ‘A’:- Ian Allcock, Pete Burgoyne, Ian Clarke, Tim Daniels, Richard Hanson, Connor Hodgkinson, Andy Houghton, Rob Needham, Steve Soar, Michael Ryall, Lee Stanley, Paul Williams, Men’s ‘B’:- Lee Arkwright, Henry Coates, Keith Cooper, Gary Fenn, David Fritchley, Andy Gillott, Rob Hawker, Ben Holmes, Sean Lambert, Scott McCabe, Tim Rippon, Darren Webster, Reserves:- Johnathan Cartledge, Nigel Daniels, Jimmy Haslam, Ryan Hassell, Richard Hughes, James Parkin, Andy Radford, Brian Snell, Steve paling, Steve Thompson, Women’s ‘A’:- Sara-Jane Harrison, Rebecca Hoyland, Sammi Marshall, Louise Rawson, Jackie Sweet, Carol Western, Women’s ‘B’:- Rachel Ayres, Terri Bellamy, Dawn Buckley, Dee Fenn, Katrina McAleney, Jennifer McCormick, Reserves:- Debbie Caven, Kelly Dean, Emily Jones, Holly Wright.
