Punchbowl are the new champions of the Harborne and District Winter League Skipp Consolation Cup. After beating Hobsons Choice 8-6 in the semi Punchbowl squared up to Village Stump, who with a close 8-7 scoreline had taken out the Pheasant. Punchbowl proved too strong for the Stump in the final and ran out 8-4 winners.

On the agenda for the Harborne 401 Summer League was round two of the Knockout Cup. Fourteen years old Ryan O’Neill made an impressive debut for Hobsons Choice, helping them to a 6-3 victory over Bartley Green Social Flights with a 120 break. Hillyfields had a convincing 8-1 against Stonehouse Flights, while not far behind them were Midland Red, who beat the Pheasant 7-2. M.Murphy (Highlander) scored a 180, but it was not enough for his team to avoid a 6-3 defeat at the hands of the Ladywood Social team.

Red Arrows suffered yet another setback to their indifferent start to the Forest of Arden Summer League as they crashed out of the division ‘A’ Cup in round one to the the Harvester by 5-4. Highwood were the division’s top scorer’s beating Heart of England 7-2. Hobs Meadow Mixes had a 6-3 win against Stechford Social, while Hobs Meadow had a close 5-4 verdict at the Old Bill and Bull.
In division ‘B’, Three Horse Shoes, unbeaten in the league finished on the wrong side of a 5-4 result against the Glades. Mackadown beat the Grange 8-1, Falcons, with a 7-2 win accounted for Acocks Green and Cock and Hens go into the next round after beating the Farringdon 6-3.
