League wise it was a bad week for Hobs Meadow in the race for the Forest of Arden Winter League title. Playing at the Highwood Hobs returned with a 5-4 defeat, which after a 7-2 win by Red Arrows at the Harvester and a similar result by Hobs Meadow Mixes against Farringdon Social, leaves the reigning champions two points adrift of the two leading teams. Mark Osborne was on form for Mixes as he recorded a 160 break.

In the league’s Divisional Cup Hobs Meadow and Mixes played against each other with the former getting the 8-4 verdict. Old Bill and Bull chalked up a tremendous 11-4 win at Mackadown Social, while the Harvester won 8-7 at home to the Cock and Hens.
