WONDERFUL WEBSTER SEALS TV TREBLE

SightRight coached Mark Webster continued his recent improvement in form by qualifying for a triple-header of televised major tournaments over the weekend.

The Welsh left-hander, who has been working with new coach Stephen Feeney, headed to Coventry on Friday for the Grand Slam of Darts qualifier and the World Series qualifier, while also aiming to make sure of his place in the Players Championship finals.

Webster, who reached the semi-finals of the World Grand Prix earlier this month went on to achieve qualification for all three events, playing especially brilliant darts in Friday’s qualifiers.

"I’ve had worse weekends,” joked Webster.

"To qualify for three TV events in one weekend is incredible and shows that the improvement in my form is continuing.”

"I’m so pleased with how I played on Friday and I’ve done enough this season to reach the Players Championship finals too, which I’m very happy about.”

Webster defeated Jyhan Artut, Steve Douglas, Cristo Reyes and James Richardson to come through the Grand Slam qualifier on Friday.

He then dropped just four legs in victories against Arron Monk, Jason Wilson, Mike Zuydwijk and Jelle Klaasen to win a place in the World Series Finals.

Following the weekend’s final two Players Championship events of the year, Webster finished 29th on the Pro Tour Order of Merit, securing his place at the Players Championships finals in Minehead, where he will face James Wade in round one.

Webster was struggling for form and confidence when his sponsors Winmau introduced him to Feeney.

"Steve came with the recommendation and results of sports people that I trust and could see, like Stuart Bingham and Stephen Gallacher” said Webster on his SightRight coaching.

"When I met Steve, I felt he understood and identified things I was not doing quite right but crucially he also provided a plan to correct those things. We’ve worked hard over the last 15 months and I’m starting to get the results. There is still a lot of hard work to do but I’m very pleased with the improvement so far.”

Stephen Feeney, who invented SightRight and is the world’s leading sighting and alignment expert, is also the only professional coach to work across Golf, Snooker & Darts. Coaching at all levels of these sports, including work with the very best professional players, Feeney has gained a unique and unrivalled visual, technical and mental insight.

Simon Hall, Head of Marketing for Winmau, said "Having worked with Steve for nearly 10 years experiencing Steve’s Coaching Programme, it’s amazing how he’s evolved it to suit the exact coaching needs of each player. In addition to his patented ‘sighting and alignment’ tests and innovative patented SightRight products he has developed the most in-depth understanding and skill to correct complex technical and mental issues across Golf, Darts and Snooker that gives a proven approach to fixing them, and taking players careers further than they’d ever imagine”.

Feeney’s high performance coaching skills learnt through his 18 years accuracy coaching at the highest level have so far bred 29 trophies for his coached clients in golf, snooker and darts whilst amassing them millions in extra prize money.
