In the semi finals McFall handed out a straight 5-0 defeat to Pete Shipley while from the other half of the draw Neil Parsonage won by the same scoreline against Dan White. The final was more evenly fought with McFall coming out of the contest as the 6-3 winner.
As runner up Parsonage received £70 and there was £20 each for both Shipley and White.
The playoff for the last four in the Plate competition saw Jake Webster beat Chris Millward 3-2 and Steve Cain win 3-1 against Matthew Cain. Webster was again taken to a deciding leg in the final by Steve Cain but it was Jake Webster who collected the winners £40 and Cain £20.

With the domestic issues all sorted the Sheldon and District Winter League were involved in the finals of their divisional league cups and their M & B Cup.
In the final of the premier division competition league runners up Crown at Shard End had a 7-2 win over Saltley Amateur Gardeners who finished sixth in the table on the same 22 points as third placed Langley Hall Sports and Social Arrows but with an inferior average.
The division one final was a close 5-4 affair with fifth placed Crown-Forget-Me-Not just getting the verdict over Iron Horse who ended the season in third place level on 30 points with runners up Highwood KB’s.
The division two game was a real one sided event with Crown Arrows, the divisional champions running out 8-1 winners against Greville Arms who ended the season in seventh place in the table.
The final of the M & B Cup was fought out between bottom of the premier division East Birmingham Allotment Holders Association and Sheldon Heath Social who won the wooden spoon in division one.
Despite being one division lower than their opponents Sheldon Heath Social put up a brave fight but it was East Birmingham who eventually got the 5-4 result.

Week four in the Kings Norton League and in division one it’s Court Oak who once again are setting the pace. After going through last season’s fixture card undefeated Court Oak have continued in their winning ways in division one having won all four of their opening games in the current season the latest of which was a convincing 7-0 success away to newcomers E57.
West Heath have taken over the number two spot from The Coppice after beating them 4-3 to leave them two points behind Court Oak.
In the second division Rubery RBL lead the way with an unbeaten six points from their first three games but they had to fight for their recent away win against next to bottom Billesley as they returned with a close 4-3 result.
Grant Arms are also undefeated in their first three fixtures and are on the same six points as the leading duo while Coldstream suffered their first defeat in four when they went down 6-1 at Cotteridge Social and drop one place to third.

Boldmere St Mike’s and The Beehive took their unbeaten run to five games in division one of the Sutton and District League the former winning 7-2 against bottom team Pint Pot Flights to give them a slight lead on average over Beehive who won 6-3 against Golden Hind Arrows. Third placed Old Oscott Arrows kept within two points of the leading pair with a 6-3 win over next to bottom of the table Red Lion.
In division two St Thomas’s Club held on to pole position with a 6-3 home win over Erdington Club who drop from third to fourth while second placed The Boot were 8-1 winners in their home tie with Boldmere Tap. Taking over the third place from Erdington is Golden Hind after a 6-3 home win against The Park, all three of the top teams are on eight points.

Division one of the Forest of Arden Summer League saw second from top Highwood KB held to a 4-4 draw in their away game against Greville Arrows who move up one place to third from bottom, leaders Journeys End returned to winning ways beating their visitors Crown Arrows 7-1 to put them one point ahead of Highwood KB and Ivy Leaf, Ivy Leaf handing out an 8-0 whitewash to their hosts Chelmsley Town.
In division two Journeys End Flights took their unbeaten run to four games with a 6-2 away win over third in the table Crown Arrow Flights and at the same time open up a four points gap between them and chasing pair Highwood Arms and Riley’s Resurrected who both have a game in hand on the leaders.

The top two players in the Shirley Red Lion Premier League have swapped places and returning to the top of the table is Mick Gorst who in week five had 3-1 wins over Paul Higgins and Pete Silver plus a 3-2 win over Ken Hopton to give him 30 points. Former leader Chris Thomas who dropped one lace to second had 3-0 wins against both Paul Higgins and Andy Hoy to put him on 29 points just one short of Gorst after both players have completed ten games. Mark Gwalchmai moves up another two places to third, five points adrift of Gorst after beating Dave Fisher and Anthony Daly 3-2 and Tom Bent 3-1.
Fourth and fifth in the table Pete Silver and Steve Sidwell are both on 24 points, however Silver does have games in hand on all three players above him.

It was cup semi final week in the Small Heath League and in the League Cup second in the league Holy Gulp lost to fourth placed Wagon and Horses while league leaders East Birmingham Allotment Holders Association won against Mitre who are third in the table.

The top two teams in the Camp Hill League Cotterills Lane Club and Holy Gulp squared up to each other this week and Cotterills consolidated their number one position with a 5-2 victory which with 22 points gives them a four points lead over Holy Gulp plus they have played one game fewer than Gulp.
Third in the table Hay Mills Lions won 6-1 against Devil’s Club to leave them just two points behind Holy Souls.

Congratulations to Samson and Lion who by the narrowest of margins have won the Pensnett and Bromley Tuesday Night League, they finished the season with a total of 30 points with 85 legs for and 34 against while runners up The Bridge also amassed 30 points but with 84 legs for and 35 against losing the title by just one leg of average, it doesn’t come any closer than that.

With just one fixture remaining in the Bilston and District League Lanesfield RBL have ousted Bilston Conservative Club from their fourth placed and knocked them down to fifth after beating them 5-2, Allens Sports Bar ‘A’ have replaced the Conservative club in fourth place after their 6-1 win at Triangle Snooker Club, both Allens ‘A’ and Bilston Conservative Club have 50 points the former having a superior average.
Leaders The Nutan added another fine 6-1 win at Red Lion to their tally making it 34 wins in 35 games, second placed Tilted Barrel went one better by beating White Hart ‘A’ 7-0 but they are still not guaranteed the runner s up spot as they and Lanesfield RBL are both on 58 points with one to play.

A 9-0 win by Staffordshire Knot over St Mary’s ‘B’ in the Wednesbury and Darlaston Wednesday Night League has given the winners a total of 79 points at the top of the table while the losers drop down to the foot of the table on 16 points. Former bottom of the table team Spring Cottage had a 6-3 win away to Civil Defence who are just above them in the table.

Division one of the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League saw leaders Riley’s ‘C’ beat third in the table Gilberts Bar 6-1 to give them a perfect score of 18 points from their nine games. Second in the division Ashmore Inn were also 6-1 winners away to Roebuck and although they trail the leaders by six points they could close that gap to two as they have two games in hand.
In the second division there were wins for the top five teams so there is no change as leaders Dog and Partridge and fourth and fifth placed Boat and Sunbeam were all 6- 1 winners in turn against Red Lion, Ukrainian Club and Wednesfield Legion ‘B’ while second and third in the table Riley’s ‘A’ and Pavilion had much closer 4-3 win against respective opponents Pendulum and Bird in Hand.
