Warwickshire will be looking to extend their unbeaten start in the premier division of the BDO Kaliber Inter Counties Championships to four games when they take on Hampshire at the Canley Sports and Social Club, Marler Road, Canley, Coventry this coming weekend. West Midlands in their recent division three fixture with Nottinghamshire, chalked up their first win of the campaign, 22-14.The men’s ’A’ and ’B’ had respective 9-3 and 7-5 wins with Chris Hickman (31.00) and Eddie Price (27.83) taking the match awards. The ladies teams finished all square at 3-3, with their top players being Sara Jukes (18.56) and Chris Banks (18.95).

This weekend’s fixture is an away game against Gloucestershire.

The West Midlands Super League have been engaged in their men’s and women’s singles knockouts. Both events were staged at the county headquarters, Gilberts Bar, Willenhall. Taking the men’s title with a final victory over county player Richie Foster was Mark Rollinson.

The ladies final brought together two West Midlands county team mates, Angie Perry and Chris Banks, with the former claiming the crown.

Round two of the Coronation Shield and Ken Rust Cup have been on the agenda for the Four Oaks and District League, first the Coronation Shield. J.Nolan hit a maximum as his side, Sportsmans Rest just got the 8-7 edge on Boldmere Sports, a similar result by which Old Oscott Arrows defeated Anvil Nomads. There was no doubt about the verdict in the tie between league leaders Yenton Exiles and Good Hope Flights as the former strolled into the next round with a convincing 11-4 win. Midland Red progressed with a 9-6 victory over Hill Social.

In the Ken Rust Cup Hardy Spicer and the Leopard chalked up 10-5 wins over respective opponents Barn Social and Pint Pot, while Old Oscott WMC had a narrow 8-7 success against Bromford Lions. The Saints had a bye.

Cup semi-finals were also on the fixture card for the Forest of Arden Winter League. In the League Cup there were clear victories for Mackadown Sports and Social and Red Arrows, who in turn won 12-3 against Sheldon Heath Social and 11-4 against the Harvester.

In the Shadow League Cup both games finished with 10-5 results, Farringdon Social and Greville Arrows going through at the expense of Greville Arms and Sheldon Ivy Leaf.
