The Road to Lakeside – Scotty the Dog

Had another good weekend with reaching the quarter final last 8 spot at the British International Open at Brean Sands at the weekend. I lost to Martin Adams 2 sets to 1 in last leg sudden death, but I was a touch disappointed missing 2 darts to win it 2 sets to 0, so it shows the virtue of great finishing. However really happy that I’m getting closer and really getting used to these big stage matches the more I play them. This weekend result takes me to No 8 in the BDO invitational table on 142 points with all my Boxes filled which I’m hoping should be enough to see me at Lakeside 2011. My Thoughts head now to Qualify for the Zuderduin Masters which is on Dutch TV in December where I need to be in top 16 for to secure an automatic spot. I’m currently 9th and trying to stay in 8th for the Winmau World Masters automatic qualifying spot.
