Mexbrough^s Darren Johnson maintained his one hundred percent record during this years Streamline Taxis York Open Darts Championships as he defeated Event Four winner Mark Lawrence 5-1.
The event organised in Association with Red Dragon Darts attracted a record breaking 117 entries and saw Johnson win the final with legs of 14-15-17 and 15 against Lawrences 14 as he won his second event final, making it two out of two victories for the PDC Professional on his only two appearances thus far.
Johnson beat Yorks Stuart Limbert (14) 4-3 in a close semi-final where both players included maximums whilst Lawrence whitewashed Lincolns Matty Laws.
The 1/4 Final Results were: Dennis Timmins 0 Stuart Limber (15-14-15) 3, Darren Johnson (18-17) 3 Neil Hart 0, Mark Lawrence (14-17) 3 Bob Pinder (17) 2 and Matty Laws (18-20) 3 Rich Corner (14-16) 2.

A total of 36 180^s were recorded on the day with Terry Temple, Darren Johnson, Dennis Timmins and Stuart Limbert hitting three each. Double 180^s came from Neil Hart, Bob Pinder, Jaron Esteve, Derek Lumley, Cameron Spiller and Rich Corner.

Leading the way on the high checkouts was Humbersides Lee Budgeon, who won the £25 Highest Checkout prize sponsored by Embassy Racing, with a 170 finish. Dennis Timmins 138, Andy Walshaw 128, Tom Saford 125, Neil Hart 116, Stuart Limbert 114, Rich Corner 113, Graham Day 110, Stephen Silver 106, Andy Firth 105 and Owen Cubitt 104 all added to the list of ton plus outshots
 
Five ladies were joint furthest and in a nine dart throw off Tracey Marran came out victorious. Ollie Laws and Tom Sawford were joint the furthest Youth whilst
Leighton Bennet won the Youth KO.
