Red Dragon sign Martin Philips
Red Dragon Darts are honoured to sign Wales Captain Martin Philips one of the nicest and most consistent players on tour.
Phillips has been around darts as long as any Pro and made his first televised darts appearance at the 1988 British Professional Championship reaching the last 16.
In the 2010 BDO World Championship, Phillips reached the semi-finals where he was beaten in an epic encounter 6-4 by Martin Adams, with the crowd chanting "Martyn is so good they named a screwdriver after him!!"
In October 2010 Martin won the biggest title of his career, the WDF Europe Cup beating 2010 World Champion Martin Adams on the way to the final where he beat Willy van de Wiel 7-3.
A semi-finalist in the Winmau World Masters, Phillips qualified for the ITV Grand Slam of Darts where he beat Adrian Lewis (who went on to become PDC World Champion just two months later) 5-2 in legs.
Martin made the semi-finals for the second year running at the 2011 BDO World Championship, losing a repeat of the previous year^s semi-final in another massive match with England Captain Martin Adams 4-6.
Martin’s darts are designed exactly to his requirements, great grip, simple style and clean lines that would go well for anyone.
