In the Zuiderduinzaal of the Hotel Zuiderduin at Egmond aan Zee, Gary Anderson from Scotland and Lisa Ashton from England celebrated their victory with the spectators during the ceremonies of the second edition of the Zuiderduin Masters. Lisa Ashton became the first ever Ladies Champion of the Zuiderduin Masters. She beat 7 times Lakeside World Champion Trina Gulliver in two sets. Gary Anderson won his second Zuiderduin Masters title in a row after a thrilling final against last week runner up of the Winmau World Masters, Scott Waites. Waites almost became the new champion taking the lead 2-4 in sets, but Anderson came back to 4-4 an in the fourth leg he forced a break for 3-1 and so he became the new Zuiderduin Masters champion 2008.
