PDC World Championship betting tips from the Dartsdatabase
The PDC Darts World Championship draw has been made, the qualifiers are in and I guess all the players are currently destroying numerous bristle dartboards in an attempt to claim what is a massive first prize.
So onto the important part of where us dart fans can maybe make a few quid with some shrewd bets.
Wes Newton looks amazing value at 400/1 as he’s won 2 of the last 4 Pro Tour events that he’s played in, and only narrowly lost out in his last TV game, which he’ll learn from.
The Dartsdatabase betting analysis tool has Taylor about 1000 points ahead of anybody else, but that fails to measure the single most important factor – confidence.
A few of the seeds will definitely be home early for Christmas with their feet up, but it’s difficult to know which they will be.
Mark Webster’s got a decent draw until Taylor in the Quarter finals, although they’re mostly decent in that eighth there is nobody outstanding.
Lewis should at least make the Semis as Whitlock is not playing that well at the moment and we don’t think Wayne Jones would beat Lewis over any length of game.
A lot of the others in this quarter are not in great form.
Wade’s Quarter is quite open and Wade seems to get lucky in his matches which leaves me to question is he’s really any good?
This is also the toughest section for non-seeds with no preliminary rounds and all 8 of them capable of beating seeds, particularly Burnett and Pipe.
Barneys Quarter is only about 3 players as far as I’m concerned.
Anderson V King in the last 16 and the winner plays Barney in the quarters, most of the others are off form.
So like every bookie in the country I’m basically saying Taylor will probably win, but I don’t think it is as certain as last year.
Good bets would be Anderson and Lewis and Wes Newton in awesome form, with a few more outsiders once we get a closer look at some of these international qualifiers.
Good luck and remember only bet what you can afford
