Frans Harmsen wins NDB wildcard Finder Darts Masters
On Friday, October 16th, at Darts Club Nijkerk the playoff tournament was played for the Finder Darts Masters wildcard available to the NDB. For this tournament six players of the Dutch national selection were invited by the NDB to compete for this wildcard.
In a Round Robin best of 7 legs format all players took their chance to win this ticket. After 4 games playes only two players still had a chance to win the wildcard. Frans Harmsen still unbeaten and Rick Hofstra who had one point less than Frans.
In the fifth and final match these two played each other. Rick had to win this game and also Frans was not allowed to win more than 2 legs in this game. If Rick succeeded to win 4-2 or better, he became the winner of the play-off.
But also in the finale game Frans Harmsen was unstoppable and after 3 legs he had a 3-0 lead. With this result Frans became the winner of the NDB wildcard for the Finder Darts Masters without losing a match.
