Darts: Walsh hits first ever nine-dart finish

Mark Walsh hit his first ever nine-dart finish at the Eddie Cox Memorial Players Championship.

Walsh, who hails from Abbots Langley, was knocked out in the last eight of the competition, losing 6-4 to Colin Osborne in Gibraltar.

But the 43-year-old had reason to smile as he pocketed a cool £1,600 for his check out in the deciding leg of his 1st round win over Jamie Caven.

The tournament was eventually won by Phil Taylor,in his first competitive outing since claiming the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship earlier this month.
