Darts: Thame darts marathon raises £2,310
A BIG sum of money has been raised in Thame in aid of charity.
Four brothers took part in a 12 hour darts marathon to raise the sum of £2,310 in memory of their dad, George Hamstead, who died of emphysema on September 10.
His sons Anthony, Ray, Michael and Steven laid on the event at Thame Snooker Club in February and have now handed over a cheque to the British Lung Foundation.
George^s widow, Shirley, arranged a raffle for the event and a trophy, called the George Hamstead cup, was presented to Adam Mould from Bledlow Ridge and his wife.
