Life in division one of the BDO Inter County Championships for newly promoted Derbyshire didn’t begin too well as they lost their home tie with the division’s early pacesetters Glamorgan 23-13 who top the promotion table with 26 points three more than their nearest rivals Nottinghamshire.
This coming weekend Derbyshire, who currently lie at the foot of the table, will be making a journey north to take on Cleveland a game that they need to get something out of as their hosts are just above them with 16 points three more than Derbyshire, a win would most certainly lift them away from the danger zone.
