West Midlands after winning promotion from division one of the BDO Inter County Championships last season began life in division one but it was not a good start as they saw all four teams lose in an overall 24-12 defeat away to Hampshire who were newly relegated from the premier division.

The women’s ‘B’ went one better than the ‘A’ with two winners as they went down 4-2 with Heather Wright (15.2) their top player.
