Darts final a treat

THE first-ever IW Darts Premier League finals night ended in tense fashion at The Simeon, Ryde, as Pierre Turner edged Alan Brown for the title.
Turner, who reached final after coming from behind to beat Mark Edwards 5-3 in the quarter finals before defeating Keegan Brown 5-3 in the semi-finals defeated Brown in the tenth leg, winning 6-4. Brown booked his spot by defeating his son, Craig, in the quarter-finals 5-0, before coming back from 4-2 down against Dave Robinson to win 5-4.
Next up for Island darts players is the Winmau World Masters Regional Finals, which take place tomorrow (Saturday) in Bristol. Representing the Island are Darren Hawken, Ian McDonough, Jon Bramble, Sam Pink, Brenda Dyer, Sharon Simmonds, Katie Falla and brothers Keegan and Craig Brown.
The British Champions Cup regional finals take place in Bath on Sunday, with Cowes Men and Newport Ladies taking part.
