Darts: Entries wanted for charity darts, pool and skittles

REQUESTS for entry forms have started to come in for the Bridgwater Railway Club’s charity four-a-side summer darts, pool and skittles competitions.

The three charities being supported are the Helping Hand Fund (darts), the Somerset Association for the Blind (pool) and Musgrove Leukaemia Group (skittles).

Entry is open to all and there will be trophies and prizemoney for the winners.

There will also be trophies for the all-ladies team and mixed teams that get the furthest in the darts and skittles.

The entry fee is £8 per team per competition, half of which goes to the respective charity.

There will also be fundraising during matches – if you score 25 or under in darts, make a foul shot in pool or hit under five pins in skittles, you will pay 10p.

Matches start from the middle of May. There is pool on Wednesdays, darts, pool and skittles on Thursdays and skittles on Fridays.

Each team will play a minimum of three matches as the first round will be divided into groups.

Each team will play the others in the group at least once.

Entry forms are available from the bar at the Bridgwater Railway Club or by calling 01278-433285 between 6pm and 8pm. Entries close on April 30.
