Alex Roy Alex Roy “The Ace of Hearts” burst onto the darts circuit at the 1998 Dutch Open by reaching the semi-finals.
A flamboyant and passionate darter, Alex made his World Championship debut in 1999, winning his first PDC title in March 2004 by beating Wayne Mardle. In the following March he took his first Pro Tour title at the North West Regional Final of the UK Open beating Ronnie Baxter in the final. Since then Alex has been a seasoned campaigner on the PDC Tour where he has made countless TV events, and has reached two other PDC finals since – most notably the 2007 Welsh Players Championship, when he beat Phil Taylor in the last 32. Alex's designed his new darts to suit his powerful straight throw and said “It's amazing having a set of darts that were made exactly for me, as I'm a really straight thrower and I could feel the balance immediately with these darts. Made from 90% Tungsten with beautiful precision ring grip and a stylish banding at the back these darts would be an excellent weapon in anyone's armory”. Alex's entrance music is "Burn in My Light" by Mercy Drive, which was the former theme of professional wrestler Randy Orton and Alex even does Orton's trademark pose to the song once he steps onto the oche. |
